The Story Behind the Painting
Some paintings begin with a place. Others begin with a feeling.
African Vibes was created to capture warmth, movement and cultural richness without being tied to a single narrative. Suggestive forms emerge through layers of colour, textured mediums and expressive brushwork, inviting the viewer to discover their own interpretation.
The warm earth tones, vibrant blues and flashes of crimson reflect the colours often found in African textiles, landscapes and handcrafted objects. Layers of acrylic and gel medium create depth and movement, allowing each viewing to reveal something new.
Rather than illustrating a scene, the painting is about atmosphere, a celebration of rhythm, creativity and the beauty found in layered cultural influences.
